According to The Telegraph, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Mohamed Kudus from West Ham. They are confident about getting a deal done for significantly less than the £85million release clause in the contract of the Ghana forward, which runs until 2028. It would represent the first transfer directly from West Ham to Spurs since Scott Parker made that move in 2011.
Meanwhile, the Guardian report that the Hammers would be willing to let Kudus leave for around £60million.
The 42-cap Ghana international was previously linked with the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea, as well as Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr, but Tottenham appear the most serious among the potential suitors for his services.
However, Spurs, who have qualified for the Champions League by winning the Europa League, will need to sell players as well in order to secure the necessary funds. Defender Cristian Romero is heavily linked with Atletico Madrid, though the North Londoners insist no agreement has been reached with the Rojiblancos.
